With the in-depth advancement of the national innovation-driven development strategy and the urgent demand for regional economic transformation and upgrading in Henan Province, professional degree postgraduate education, as the core carrier for cultivating high-level applied talents, has become a key issue in higher education reform. The photodegradation of benzothiazole and amantadine micropollutants was investigated using a silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)/titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanocomposite under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. Industrial processes commonly use azo dyes such as Tropaeolin OOO (TOOO) and Eriochrome Black T (EBT), which are environmentally persistent and toxic. This study presents a green-synthesized NiO@WO₃–chitosan nanocomposite using Azadirachta indica for the effective photocatalytic degradation of these dyes under solar irradiation. Characterization revealed semi-crystalline spherical nanoparticles with strong Ni–O–W, Ni–N, and W–N interactions. Under optimum conditions (pH 7, 20 mg catalyst), complete decolorization of 10 mg/L dye solutions was achieved within 3 hours, with degradation efficiencies of 96% for TOOO and 92% for EBT.........

This study investigates the vulnerability of coastal aquifers in Buguma, Rivers State, Nigeria, to both iron water contamination and saltwater intrusion using geoelectrical methods. The region is part of the Niger Delta and is underlain by the Benin Formation, a highly permeable aquifer system susceptible to contamination due to its shallow water table and proximity to tidal creeks. This study investigates the convexity and concavity properties of higher-order Legendre polynomials through analytical and numerical approaches. Closed-form expressions of the second derivatives of the Legendre polynomials were utilized to determine the inflection points within the standard interval [−1,1]. Special emphasis is given to the seventh- and eighth-degree Legendre polynomials. Theoretical inflection points were obtained and verified numerically using finite-difference approximations in the R programming environment. The article presents an analysis of existing methods for assessing climate risks, which include quantitative and qualitative approaches to forecasting the impact of climate factors. The effectiveness of methods such as linear trend, Student's and Fisher's criteria, harmonic analysis, amplitude smoothing, random forest method, time series clustering, and network models is assessed according to general criteria.
