ABSTRACT
Plywood turns into very important material for various structural purposes in Sri Lanka and used as a substitute of solid wood. Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine and compare the strength variation of plywood of different thickness produced with Teak (Tectona grandis), Ginisappu (Michelia champaca), Mahogany (Swietenia microphyla), Neem (Azadirachita indica) and Jac (Artocarpus heterophyllys). The commercial wood glue was used for fabricating the panels. Bending strength and glue-bond strength by shear strength test was assessed for plywood of different thicknesses was determined and the values of properties were statistically tested...........

ABSTRACT
Parking is an essential component of the transportation system of busy towns like Kampala. Since cars are a critical factor in urban mobility, city managers and planners must aim to meet the needs of the motorists including adequate and safe parking. This paper analysed the parking characteristics on selected on street and off-street parking lots and as well the parking policies, practices and management mechanism in Kampala City, in view of the region's urbanisation trends and development. The study employed a mixed research design that included the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods..........

ABSTRACT
At present, there is a massive usage of internet sources with the implication of distributed system architectures. Information exchange with several web applications requires security methods. In particular, sensitive data faces the risk of security threats. Cryptography combined with a biometric feature is an enhanced security mechanism developed to resolve it. When much loads of data are in a communication network causes the overhead of adaptability, accessibility, and imbalance in load distribution. Traditional load balancing in clustered web servers are limited in faster response times, and greater performance.

ABSTRACT
The profession of project management has evolved over the years to disseminate new frameworks, tools, and approaches as a means to improve the rate, productivity, and success of projects. The purpose of this research is to explore many aspects of project management methodologies and graphic displays from one or more of the following perspectives: use, advantage and disadvantage. The paper is aimed at comparing the benefits of licensed and open-source visualization technologies to show how these technologies have an impact on the development and planning of projects and project management. In conducting this study, this paper aims to highlight the importance of choosing adequate PM and data visualization methods to be relevant to the needs of a particular project as well as the norms of a given field of study...........

ABSTRACT
In this paper we study the performance of color and grayscale image input for CNN architecture for head detection. We study five architecture models, in varies of feature extraction stages and the number of neural network layers. In training phase, all models have good validation accuracy, i.e. above 90%. However, in implementation for head detection, they have low precision value, due to the large number of false positive. The high performance of head detection is achieved by grayscale processing and image size of 30×20 pixels for training datasets.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT
In this research, we study and evaluate the performance of CNN based head detection with various input image size. We evaluate grayscale and saliency map format as inputs to our CNN model. We use INRIA dataset for training and testing data. For training data, we use image size of 30×20 pixels, 60×40 pixels and 90×60 pixels. We evaluate the performance of head detection using quantity accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score. The experimental result shows grayscale image with size of 30×20 pixels and adam optimizer has high F1-score. However, the F1-score of the test model did not show a significant difference. The experiment is conducted using programming language python and openCV library.
Keywords:- Saliency map, CNN, head detection, optimizer, input image size, F1-score.
